There are two different routes you can take to get to Fort William
The Glasgow route:
- Fly into Glasgow Airport, the day before the challenge begins. we suggest that you try to arrive before 11am as there are only 3 train services that go between Glasgow and Fort William daily.
- Once you’ve arrived at Glasgow Airport, you will need to travel to Glasgow Queen Street station (this can take anywhere between 15/30 minutes).
There are many modes of transport you can take to get there:
- Train £2-5 (20 mins)
- Taxi £20-30 (15 mins)
- Line 915 bus £4-7 (30 mins)
- Line 500 shuttle £9 (20 mins)
Once you have arrived at Glasgow Queen Street station you will get a train to Fort William. There is a morning service; (8:20am), afternoon (12:20 pm) and an early evening (18:20 pm) service. All trains are £35 and take approximately 3 hours 45 minutes. Now that you’ve arrived, kick your feet up and relax before we take on the challenge the next day.
The Inverness route
- Fly into Inverness (the day before the challenge begins)
- You will get the citylink 919 bus from Inverness airport to Fort William, this service runs from 09:00 am to 17:15 pm, the buses come every 2 hours so try and time your flight so you don’t have too much waiting around to do. To check out the bus times please click here
- The bus costs £11.60 for a single ticket and takes 2 hours 5 minutes
- Once you’ve arrived, kick your feet up and relax before we take on the challenge the next day.
